Origin is excited to introduce Telehealth consultations for all patients who are not able to visit our clinic in-person. This new flexible consultation type will provide the same high quality physiotherapy services as usual, from the convenience of your laptop, smartphone or tablet.

Through a Telehealth consultation, our physiotherapists will contact you via secure video-call and guide you through your session. These consultations work best for movement analysis, exercise prescription and condition management. Telehealth consultations will be available for 75% of the standard fee and can be organised for a time that suits you.

Telehealth consultations are also available for WHS (workplace, health & safety) assessments. Great for if you're currently working from home and want a qualified professional show you how you can improve your workspace, posture and in-turn overall happiness.

  • What injuries are suitable for Telehealth Consultations?
Majority of muscoloskeletal injuries and conditions are treatable via Telehealth consultations. If during your consultation, your physiotherapist determines that your injury or condition cannot be effectively treated via Telehealth you will not be charged for the appointment and we'll organise another appointment at a time that suits you.
  • Can I use my private health insurance for Telehealth?
    Absolutely!
  • How do the appointments work?
At the beginning of your consultation, your physiotherapist will conduct an initial assessment to determine your current condition or injury. This assessment usually takes the form of a series of questions and some exercises and test in order to develop a clear understanding of your needs. Since Telehealth consultations won't involve any physical contact, your physiotherapist will discuss with you your condition, contributing factors and offer exercise programs and muscle release techniques to assist in your recovery. Afterwards, your physiotherapist may provide you with additional instructions, exercises and useful content via email for your benefit.
  • How will my physio diagnose or treat my injury via telehealth?
Our physiotherapists are experts in movement. Through conducting a series of exercises and tests during your consultation, your physiotherapist will be able to determine the cause of your pain and effectively work with you in developing activities and exercises to relieve pain and restore happiness.
